REVLETTIE UNMUTED
For RevLettie Unmuted take what you need: RevLettie Unmuted is a weekly broadcast rooted in East and West African wisdom, streaming live Sundays at 6 PM on wdrbmedia.com. Every aired episode is then archived and available on demand at revlettie.com/revlettie-unmuted, so listeners can catch a broadcast live or return to it anytime after. Hosted by Reverend Lettie, the show is built around one central mission: Breaking the Silence.
Each episode names something that has been suppressed, whether in a family, an institution, a place of worship, or the collective psyche of the African diaspora, and walks listeners through a guided process of reclaiming truth and moving toward wholeness.
This season runs 24 episodes across seven thematic phases, spanning identity and miseducation, embodiment and emotional healing, voice and cultural memory, community reconstruction, restorative justice, Black women’s authority and leadership, and finally integration and forward movement. Guests join select episodes to deepen the conversation, bringing lived expertise in healing, scholarship, and cultural practice.
Every broadcast follows the Breaking the Silence Framework, a five pillar structure that moves listeners from naming a silence, to tracing its root, to reclaiming the narrative, to activating healing tools, to holding space for ongoing dialogue. Each hour includes The Naming, The Roots, and The Reclamation, closing with a Scholar’s Reading List and a closing Ase.
New listeners can expect a grounded, ancestrally informed hour that draws on Kemetic philosophy, West African cosmology, and scholars whose work has often been excluded from the Western academy, including Dr. John Henrik Clarke, Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop, and Dr. Yosef ben-Jochannan among many others. Beyond the broadcast, revlettie.com houses the full resource suite: the book Struggling to Be Me: No Longer Silent and Invisible at the Table, sacred oil blends, consultations, and speaking engagements..
